The Dog Stop® in Katy is looking for a dependable, energetic, and friendly Part-Time Front Desk Receptionist to join our team! This position is ideal for a responsible high school senior who loves dogs, enjoys helping people, and can handle a busy environment with lots of movement and multitasking.  Must be able to work 3 PM – 7 PM | Monday–Friday + alternating Saturdays

Responsibilities Include:

• Greeting customers and their pets

• Checking dogs in and out for daycare, boarding, and grooming

• Escorting dogs to and from playrooms

• Setting up boarding kennels as needed

• Answering phones and scheduling appointments

• Answering questions about our services and products

• Retail sales and inventory tracking

• Building strong customer relationships

• Managing client information in our database

• Assisting with social media content creation and management

• Creating simple photo and video content for social media

• Giving tours of the facility

This role requires strong multitasking skills, excellent customer service, and lots of walking throughout the day.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Retail or customer service experience preferred

• Strong communication skills

• Basic computer skills

• Comfortable taking photos and videos for social media

• Experience creating short social media videos (Instagram Reels, Facebook, TikTok) preferred

• Reliable transportation

• Flexible schedule and some weekend availability

• 3 professional references preferred

• Dog care experience is a plus but not required—we can teach the right person!
